music I should listen to but probably don't, new, old, anything.
I have to get my nose rebroken tomorrow and I'd like some tunes to infiltrate my pain killer haze I'll be in.
& go

anyone? anyone? [23 Nov 2008|09:19pm]
Help me with my homework if I haven't already contacted you, if I have you can just answer here, this is probably going to be the worst presentation ever. Don't ever ever read The View From the Studio Door. If some of these don't apply to you just answer whatever ones do:

When making art, is the process of getting to the final piece important? Or is it ultimately the final piece regardless of process that is important?

When qualifying something as "art" what criteria keeps "just anyone" from making art and being considered an artist? Is there criteria at all or can just anyone make art and be considered an artist?

If you are in art school still pursuing a degree, what are you plans for keeping art an important and manageable part of your life? If you've already graduated, how do you keep a productive art work flow with your everyday life? are they separated?

"Where did you learn the things that really matter to you? Where was the critical fork in the road that directed you to this point? Who or what has been your real teachers?"

Reflecting on your education in the arts (whether personal quest, degree in progress, or schooling you've completed), what is your experience in your education informing your art? Are you influenced by looking at other artists? Conversations during crits?

cigarettes are $9.50 statewide in NY. enter: rollies. except they are gross, and troublesome and to be honest? don't quite do it for me. It must be all those additives and posions that I love so much and not the tobacco/nicotine.

ugh. time to quit, I could barely afford cigarettes at the 5-7$ range at the rate I was buying them. but I simply cannot even BRING myself to pay $10.

who wants to help me with my website? haha I bought it and haven't touched it but now that school is out (EDIT: I have to stop thinking like that it's ALMOST done but there is still SO MUCH to do. ugh) I'd really like to get it going. I don't know what I'm doing with my ftp client thing (although I thought I did) I do have some html programming knowledge and all I want is something really very simple. anyone want to lend their expertise? as to how to get the things I'm uploading actually on the internet? either via the internet or in person? let me know, I'll buy you beer.

warm weather wants to take me away (I want to let it). hokusai and thoughts of the beach. things are falling into place, the universe seems to line itself up after the first day without a coat and multiple layers. I am lining up a lot of adult responsibilities for the summer and all I want to do is drive drive drive with you.
